Academic background.
A goal in medicine.

I’m an NSU University School student with a strong academic record. Four of my seven classes are honors classes.

Looking ahead

Understanding the human body.

My interest in human biology and science draws me toward medicine. I would like to attend medical school. For now, I’m building my academic foundation and continuing to explore the subjects that interest me.

USN & photography.
Learning to look closer.

School photography program
NSU University School

I’m part of USN, my school’s photography program. I want to keep developing my eye for light, composition, and the details that make a photograph worth looking at.

Photography connects my interest in the natural world with a creative way to share what I notice.

Building a photographic portfolio.

I plan to share a selection of my photographs here, along with the context and choices behind each image.

A little about
how I think.

My interests connect through observation. Keeping animals makes me attentive to behavior and the environments I provide. Photography gives me another reason to notice details. Tinkering with electronics and computers gives me a way to work through practical questions.

Herpetology — the study of reptiles and amphibians — is one of my strongest interests. I care about understanding animals and making that knowledge easier for others to understand.

I want to understand the why, not just memorize the answer.

Aquarium keeping · Personal experience

Maintaining a 125-gallon aquarium

Caring for a large aquarium connects my interest in animals with practical systems. I’ve noticed how differently water evaporates in different environments, which gives me a reason to think about the aquarium and the conditions around it.

A question this experience raises

Which environmental conditions account for the differences I notice? An observation like this gives me a concrete question to follow.

Technology · Personal interest

Tinkering with electronics and computers

I enjoy figuring out how components work together and working through problems when something doesn’t behave as expected. I’m interested in the reasoning behind a fix as much as the final result.

practical problem-solving.

01Reptiles & amphibiansHerpetology

From a turtle’s behavior to the anatomy behind an adaptation, I like looking beyond a species name and understanding the animal itself. Natural history gives every observation a little more context.

02Making knowledge make senseEducation

A clear explanation can turn a passing interest into a real connection. I care about herpetology education and making unfamiliar topics easier to understand, without losing the details that matter.

Questions · Clear explanations · Shared learning
03Electronics & computersTechnology

I like tinkering with electronics and computers. I’m interested in what’s going on behind the screen, how the parts of a system work together, and how to work through a problem when something doesn’t behave as expected.
